It’s hard to think of another label that’s had such an influence of lat. Balmain has defined fashion for the past two seasons-on every level, from the front row to the red carpet tot the high street. Editors, pop stars, even Michael Jackson… everybody loves creative director Christophe Decarnin’s glitzy, glamourous rock-chick look (this page and opposite). From the bleached, distressed jean to the suede harem pant, the body-con disco dress slathered in sequins tot the skinny crystal-studded sandal, his designs are approaching iconic status.
